At a future date, there are still a few projects that we want to finish out here. Our last project that we did during this phase was two DIY chaise lounge chairs.
To create these chairs we used these plans from Shanty2 Chic. They have several different plans for chaise lounge chairs. They have a chair for every style. We then created our own cushions to complete these lounge chairs.
Before taking on this project, we were not able to lay out by the pool. Which is something we love to do. Who doesn't??? We could not wait to finish these chairs so we could lay out by the pool!
After cutting down all the wood for this project, we assembled them using nail guns and screws. The plans from Shanty2Chic made this a super easy project! After assembling the chaise lounge chairs, we used brown spray paint to paint the chairs. We chose this color to match all of our other outside furniture.
DIY Chaise Lounge Chairs
After finishing the chairs, I made the cushions. Caroline picked out a gray and blue striped fabric that tied into the rest of the patio refresh we completed this summer. We also spray painted these brown to match the rest of the furniture in the space.
This tied both spaces together cohesively. I LOVE how these chairs turned out. They are the perfect addition to this backyard. Pool chairs are expensive, so if you don't have a ton of money to spend on this pool furniture, this is a great project to build. And you only need a miter saw and drill to build it.
Since completing this project, we have used these chairs countless time and plan on using them often in the future.
