DIY Outdoor Dining Table

If you‘ve been following along my social media for the past couple weeks, you know I have been working on helping my sister decorate her new apartment. One of the spaces we have been working on is her outdoor patio.

She has this massive patio! Seriously y'all it is bigger than any apartment patio I have ever seen. It might be bigger than her actual apartment. Because her apartment is so small, there is not room for a dining table in there. But there is room for a table outside, so she wanted a large dining table to put out there for entertaining and hanging. I decided to make her one.

I found this awesome DIY dining table from Shanty 2 Chic online. The table is beautiful, it is easy to make, and it only needs 2x4’s. This is a great table for a beginner, so if you are looking for an easy to make outdoor table, this is a great one for you. I followed the plans step by step, so head over to Shanty 2 Chic to find them or use the direct link here. I did include all the supplies I used below.

Supplies:

Stain (I used Varathane Special Walnut)

Here is what the table looked like before I sanded and stained it:

Here is the final reveal of what the table look liked after I added wood filler, sanded it, treated the wood with wood conditioner, stained it, and sealed it with Spar Urethane.

What’s even better about this table is it was so affordable! The total cost of this was only $136.72. Most tables like this cost more than double that!

What do you think?
